Todd Rundgren Jams At Thursday at Canalside Buffalo

8/15/2013 - Buffalo, New York - Today we took the drive west to downtown Buffalo for another classic free show at Canalside Buffalo to see the awesome talents of Mr. Todd Rundgren. It was a perfect evening for a show weather wise. We arrived early as usual and took some pictures at the Buffalo Naval Park, then some nice Canal side views, a quick dinner and then took our spot front row for the show. The photographer from Buffalo.Com took our picture and posted it to their website. The opening band was Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds. They were a pretty good band with a full brass section and a young little lead singer who sang and shaked her butt all over the stage. They have the potential to be very good. Their set was well received by the quickly expanding crowd. Todd came out soon after and played a great show. He opened with Real Man and cruised through many classics like Love Of The Common Man, Can We Still Be Friends, I Saw The Light, and even some Utopia with Love Is The Answer. He came out for two encores that were for some reason very loud finishing with Hello It's Me and kidding lets pretend its the first time. A good show with Todd showing he still can entertain with his talents. We finished our excellent day with a late dinner at the home of the original Buffalo Wing the Anchor Bar. A good day indeed.
