Steve Miller Serenades Fans At Artpark Tuesday In The Park

6/30/2015 - Lewiston, New York - Today we headed west to our favorite outdoor concert venue Artpark in Lewiston, New York to take in our first Tuesday In The Park series concert, todays artist the classic rock of the Steve Miller Band. We arrived late for this show and it was sold out but fortunately are friend saved us our usual seats. It was calling for potentially heavy rains but fortunately it passed and it was a perfect evening for a show. The opening act was a local Buffalo band called Miller And The Other Sinners. They came out and did a good set and had two sax players that added a lot to their sound, a good opening act. After a brief intermission the Steve Miller Band hit the stage and did avery good set. He opened with Jungle Love and played a diverse set of his hits. The set included classics like Take The Money and Run, The Joker, Fly Like And Eagle, The Stake and Serenade to name a few. They also jammed a nice blues cover of the Little Walter song Blues With A Feeling. Steve came out and did a short solo acoustic set that included Wild Mountain Honey and Gangster Of Love. The sellout crowd seemed to enjoy the show with people dancing in the aisles. They finished the set with the classic Rock'N'Me with the crowd partaking in the singing. The band came out for two encores that included Swingtown and Jet Airliner. This was a good first show to start the Artpark season and although showing his age a bit Steve Miller still can jam.
