NYC Getaway Continues With Sam Ash, Sites And Sabres

4/9/2016 - New York, New York - The NYC weekend getaway continued today waking up early for an okay free breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express on 36th Street, then back to sleep in a bit. We explored the Time Square area a bit more today and then headed to our most favorite store in New York City, the Sam Ash Music Store. We spent some quality time here. Dom played some of his favorite custom guitars, including the David Gilmour, and he jammed on a couple very nice Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxaphones. I headed to the acoustic area to play some very nice Martin and Taylor left handed acoustics and then over to the keyboard area to play some very nice pianos. After the extended jam session we stopped at TGIFridays for an early lunch / dinner. We then headed back on the subway to head back to Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The entertainment today was the Sabres last game of the season versus the NY Islanders. We picked up some great tickets on Stubhub about twenty rows up close to center ice. We met Michael between periods for drinks while watching the Sabres pull out an awesome 4-3 overtime victory. The Sabres captain, Brian Gionta, led the way scoring two goals including the winner in overtime for the win. Another nice finish to the day of the NYC weekend getaway. Slideshow
