 11/23/2016 - Buffalo, New York - Today we headed to downtown Buffalo for some pre-Thanksgiving entertainment to watch the Eicheless Buffalo Sabres take on the Detroit Red Wings at Key Bank Center. Mike provided the free awesome tickets. The Sabres are still without star player Jack Eichel recovering from an ankle sprain. The sellout crowd watched the Sabres and Red Wings battle to a 1-1 tie thru regulation. They played a great overtime period of three on three with excellent scoring chances for both teams. The game finally went to a shootout where the game winning goal was scored by ex-Sabre Thomas Vanek to give the Red Wings the victory 2-1.The Sabres are getting better but need better play in goal and on defense in their zone. A good time and game even with the Sabres loss.Slideshow |
