 8/29/2022 - Porto Venere, Italy - We spent the day prior to this day as a down day, chilling and exploring around Monterosso. We got some nice shots of the area and some needed rest time. Today was the day of our 30th Wedding Anniversary, and like all other days on this trip to Italy, we started with the delicious breakfast at the Hotel Pasquale. We enjoyed conversing with another couple from San Diego celebrating their anniversary who were soon to be headed to Lake Como and our other favorite place to stay in Bellagio the Hotel Dulac. After breakfast, we headed to the dock and caught the ferry, taking us to Porto Venere. The ferry stopped at each Cinque Terre village, Vernazza, Manarola, Riomaggiore and finally Porto Venere. We decided to rent a boat and enjoy the day on the water. It was another gorgeous day and we had a blast cruising the Ligurian Sea. It included cruising the gorgeous Porto Venere harbor and around the pictureque neighboring islands of Palmaria, Tinetto and Tino with it's lighthouse and Statue Stella Maris guarding it. After boating the day away back on the ferry taking us back to Monterosso for a late dinner at our favorite spot their Lapos. An excellent anniversary day.Slideshow |
