Italy Travel Log - Corniglia & Manarola, Italy

8/30/2022 - Corniglia & Manarola, Italy - Coming into our last days of our Italy trip, we decided to explore the last villages of Cinque Terre that we had not seen up close Corniglia and Manarola. We started the day with the usual delicious breakfast at our hotel in Monterosso, the Hotel Pasquale. We purchased a couple train passes and headed to Corniglia for our first stop. From the train station to reach Corniglia, it is necessary to climb the Lardarina, a long brick flight of steps composed of 33 flights with 382 steps. In the extreme heat it was difficult but we made it to the village and found the pretty Chiesa Di San Pietro. The village, one of Cinque Terre's, was very nice with many shops and dining options and also included some very nice views. We descended down to the train station and headed to our final Cinque Terre village, Manarola. Manarola was just a short walk from the train station like the other villages and was similar in layout to Vernazza and Riomaggiore. We officially hit all five of the villages of Cinque Terre. We finished the day heading back to Monterosso by train for a nice late night dinner at Ristorante Al Pozzo.Slideshow
