Joe Bonamassa Rips It Up At Shea's PAC In Downtown Buffalo

2/28/2023 - Buffalo, New York - In a last minute decision, I decided to take a ride West down the NYS Thruway to Route 33 down into downtown Buffalo, New York to see the awesome blues sounds of Joe Bonamassa at the lovely Shea's Performing Arts Center. I picked up a ticket a couple hours prior to the show on Stubhub for less than face value to sit in back of the theatre. Still a decent seat in this very nice venue. I was there early and ran into some old high school friends and caught up a bit. The show started promptly at 8PM and there was no opener, Joe Bonamassa and his band ripped thru two hours of excellent blues tunes. He opened the set with Evil Mama and then followed by Dust Bowl. My Youtube video of Dust Bowl was featured on Joe Bonamassa's Website. The band was pretty tight and the sound excellent as the sellout crowd was riveted to Bonamassa's awesome guitar skills. Joe bantered with the crowd about growing up in Utica and displayed his skill of NYS Thruway exits and talked of visits to the House of Guitars and Dinosaur Barbecue. He did a nice cover of Otis Rush's Double Trouble and closed the set with a little ZZ Top cover of Just Got Paid with some nice Zeppelin mixed in to end the great set. They closed the show with a single encore of Sloe Gin. An excellent show at a gorgeous venue lets keep these ones coming. Slideshow
